Give your hard-working staff members a chance at bragging rights in 20 categories of achievement in digital journalism. The CICM contest offers the most comprehensive recognition of excellence for exclusively online performance by college student journalists in the world. Experienced new media professionals will judge the CICM contest categories. ENTRIES FOR THE 2008 CONTEST MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 11:59 P.M., FEB. 1, 2008. Click here to enter the contest online. Award winners will be announced March 8, 2008 during the Center for Innovation in College Media workshop in Nashville, Tenn. The contest is open to all Center for Innovation in College Media member student media outlets and their respective individual student staff members. Any online project produced by a member organization or individual student member is eligible for the contest, whether the web site is run by a student newspaper, magazine, yearbook, television or radio station, or an online-only publication. Entries in the contest must have been originally published online in conjunction with a student media web site during the 2007 calendar year and be accessible via the web at the time of judging. This contest is not open to class projects unless such projects are produced in conjunction with or subsequently published by a member college media organization. Contest entries must have been produced by student journalists, either individually or in groups.
