My name is Noah Greenberg, and I'm currently a senior at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The past few months some friends and I have been building a website designed to expose college musicians, and it just launched this morning! The site is called CollegeRoots, and its built around the idea that College Musicians shouldn't need a major record label to get a national fanbase.

We're really excited about it, and I was wondering if CollegemediaInnovation might consider doing a small feature on the site, or helping us out in any way. It's a free way for college students to find music or expose their own, and we'd appreciate any help we can get!

Let me know if you think you might be interested, I'd be happy to help however I can.

Information Pros used to do this. We found the information, vetted it, made sure it was credible, then handed it off to people who would make decisions or write with it. But everyone decided that Google and Wikipedia are good enough and voila! we have no fact-cjecking at all now., Well done us!

I would say that even when you are writing news, you have to do it with passion. You can choose an issue that apparently does not look very important, but if you write passionately it becomes something interesting. That is all, I think.
I think that the attitude of the journalist who is always looking for a great theme sucks. A journalist should be a person who thinks, who contemplates the world without going on the hunt of an endearing character, a unique story angle or the best news. I Better go just like a human being open to the universe of each individual who crosses my path, open to new stories. One never knows where is the story until it occurs.
