		<description>I don&#039;t think this will have much, if any, impact on the college media. We have a built in advertising / classified base, and subscription revenue is usually moderate at best. </description>

Now if everyone listened to my podcast series, this wouldn&#039;t have come as much of a surprise. :) John Yemma and I discussed this as a real possibility for the Monitor a few weeks. In fact, it was one of two possible scenarios they were looking to adopt.  
 
The other option the Monitor researched was adding a weekend edition while keeping weekday publication. That would have doubled down on print. The Monitor instead decided to put less faith in print. I think that&#039;s a wise move.
