Technician uses issuu.com for PDFs
October 15, 2008 in College Media
The N.C. State Technician is using issuu.com to put the PDFs of their papers online. It’s an alternative to DocStoc in the online PDF format. Monday, they published a presidential election voting guide, which you can see here. There are still quite a few college newspapers who only place the front page of the paper online in PDF format, but I think it’s better to put the whole thing online if you’re going to put it online in that format. Otherwise it’s just eye-candy for the page 1 designer. #
UPDATE: The Hoya at Georgetown has been using Issuu as well. Check out their basketball preview and new student guide. #
Cool. We've actually been doing that at The Hoya to show off our layout staffs work: http://www.thehoya.com/2007BasketballPreview and http://www.thehoya.com/newstudentguide. We could use some integration improvements, but love Issuu.
Hello,
I would like to draw your attention to http://www.showdocument.com that we recently launched.
It allows instant co-browsing on any document basically in almost any format one wants – including PDF.
