Quinnipiac president shuts out indy student web site

Quinnipiac UniversityImage via WikipediaCollege Rag has some information about an absolutely, mind-bogglingly authoritarian decision by Quinnipiac University President Lahey to ban university employees from talking to student journalists from an independent web publication. Hartford-Courant columnist Rick Green has a column that sums things up pretty well.

Lahey, as president of a private university, is within his rights to set this policy, but it’s a policy that violates everything a university should stand for. What is it about educational administrators that makes them forget the founding principles of this country when they get power?
