Covering Gustav

After hugging the Eastern seaboard for several...Image via Wikipedia Three years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the U.S. Gulf coast, Hurricane Gustav is threatening to scramble the landscape again.

College journalists are covering the hurricane too. Check out LSU’s Reveille and Loyola-New Orlean’s Maroon. The Tulane Hullabaloo doesn’t have anything on their site yet. The Reveille has several multimedia pieces about Gustav, and it’s another site that’s powered by the new CP 5.0 platform.

Mississippi State’s Reflector has lots of coverage.

The Daily Mississippian at Ole Miss is providing coverage as well from a bit farther inland (also a new CP 5.0 site).

If you know of any schools in the path of Gustav who are covering the storm, drop a note in the comments or e-mail me.

Check out InsideVandy.com, Vanderbilt’s student media source powered by the Vanderbilt Hustler, for coverage of the influx of Tulane students and officials to Nashville and our campus.
