I just finally got around to putting the college newspapers doing video list into a database (using Zoho Creator). The list is sorted by state, and you can see it here:
What’s even better is that you can submit your own student news site to the list without e-mailing me! Go to this page:
and fill out the form. It’s just that easy.
Right now, I have 36 schools on the list, and I know there are several I didn’t get on there because nobody let me know, and I don’t have time to keep adding to the list by myself. Think of this as a crowdsourcing exercise.
BTW, if you submit your site to the list, please include as specific a URL as possible. If you have a page where you keep all the videos, or a youtube channel, please put that URL in the space, rather than the main site URL.
The list is also available now in the updated right-hand nav bar.

great idea, Bryan - this is an excellent and useful list.
plus, zoho creator seems like an easy enough tool to use.
i signed up USFtv, a student-run video cablecast run out of the university of san francisco.

Hey Bryan,
Thanks for including George Mason on the list of video-ified newsrooms. However, Connect Mason is not Broadside.
Uhm. Let me explain.
Connect Mason was initially created as a convergence website for all of GMU’s Student Media groups. It was a manner to bring more readers/viewers/listeners to those groups that were already established. When this idea was brought to what would soon be the Connect Mason staff, we decided to add our own daily news staff to the mix to fill in content gaps. Most of us were journalists from the Broadside staff.
While Connect Mason features Broadside content (as part of convergence), 100% of the website was created and is maintained by Connect Mason staff … as is 99% of the content.
Cheers,
Whitney Rhodes
