Preston Gannaway, the photographer, was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for her work on the series. She recently left the Monitor for the Rocky Mountain News. The Washington Post and New York Times will get most of the publicity out of the Pulitzers (and some fine reporting that won), but here’s a shout out for the Monitor.
