Innovation in College Media

We've completed the first day of training. Students have spent the last three hours on the streets of Nashvegas collecting material for their stories. This after getting some training from myself (web tools - mapping, timelines, and liveblogging), folks from the Nashville NPR affiliate (audio storytelling), and Seth Gitner (video shooting). We've got dinner on tap in an hour (thanks to College Media Network) and a presentation by Seth Gitner of some of the work they've been doing at Roanoke.com.

Tomorrow, more story collecting, and then training in editing. Should be an exciting day.
