State of the News Media 2008? Not good

The Project for Excellence in Journalism has compiled its latest report, and it’s likely going to be a sobering read. What else could you expect from this lead:

The state of the American news media in 2008 is more troubled than a year ago.

And the problems, increasingly, appear to be different than many experts have predicted.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, there’s nothing in the report about the state of College Media in 2008.
