The Daily Tar Heel is rolling out a huge package of stories and media to mark the two year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina’s destruction of the U.S. Gulf Coast. Today’s the first day of the package. Check out this link to see what they’ve done. There’s a blog, audio slideshow, PowerPoint, and two articles so far, all in a large Flash package. #

Somewhat ironically, I checked out Spike Lee’s When the Levees Broke, a documentary for HBO, this weekend and watched all four hours this Saturday. I highly recommend everyone watch it. Sunday, I got an e-mail about the Daily Tar Heel package from an editor there. If you know of other papers doing Katrina-related packages, drop me an e-mail at scmurley -at- gmail.com. #
