Post-Crescent Gannett info center video

Here’s a video about the Appleton, Wisc. Post-Crescent’s move to the Information Center. #
Doug Fisher has some concerns: #
After watching this, I come away with the uneasy interpretation that really what we’re just trying to do is push the print model into an online bottle. I have mixed emotions on that — glad to see a push, any push, in that direction but a vague uneasiness that the “get it” quotient is still a little low. It’s still “here’s what we’re going to do for you” and not enough here’s how we bring you into the tent (even the “help us investigate” really seems to be deprecated to “give us tips’). #I’d like to see more of the actual doing this new innovation and less talking about it. I don’t think I actually saw a single reporter or photographer actually out in the field during this 8-minute video. Although I did see a lot of middle-aged, balding white guys milling around a newsroom. #
I won’t comment on the music bed. #
