The Eastern Illinois University Daily Eastern News redesigned their Web site within the last few days. Web 2.0-ish icons at the top, a cleaner page layout. Before and After photos and a comment after the fold. #

Some very nice additions, including promoting the daily podcast high on the page. The one thing that’s missing for me is a link in the navigation bar that reads “Interactive.” The link on the old site took you to a page with all of the DEN audio slideshows, blogs and their Mac news widget. The new nav bar doesn’t have a link like that yet. I hope they add it back. #

As I’ve written before: “If you want people to find your online media, give them a big, fat button to click.” #
