Read Ryan Sholin, who’s apparently found a little time to think, so he’s riffing on the business/ethical topic of the day: should newspapers/media outlets try to be social network facilitators.
Read the whole thing and consider. I’d argue that being very near the hub of the social network on campus is at least as crucial for a college media organization as it is for the city-based media, but for different reasons. I don’t think we’ve quite figured out how to get there online, yet, however.
