College news online sites: Canadian edition

Following up on the success of a previous experiment in posting screen captures of various college news sites, I decided to expand the experiment a little. Today, I have some screen captures from Canadian universities’ student newspapers, along with a few online products produced by journalism schools.

For comparison, here’s the earlier piece on U.S. college news sites. And before we get started, I have to send a big shout out to Mark Hamilton who provided me with a list of sites to check out. There are obviously many more Canadian news sites out there, and I hope to get to some more in the future. If you’re familiar with some Canadian schools who have online sites, reply in the comments.

I’m also hoping to expand this to other countries, and I’ve got some research feelers out right now. Again, I am not too well-versed in the student media situation in other parts of the world, so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

A couple of other things to note: Canadian publications are not using a common platform like College Publisher, as far as I can tell, so there seems to be a wider variety of formats.

Now, on to the content. Tell us which ones you like best and why.
