Adobe’s Missouri j-school ad: lessons for us lesser beings

I found this video via Mindy McAdams’ del.icio.us bookmarks. Check out Customer Success Story - University of Missouri School of Journalism. If you can stick through the Missou recruitment advertising at the beginning, it’s worth a look to see the profs and students talk about how they are using technology in their environment. Fave quote: “If you’re afraid of technology, you’ve got to get over it and jump in,” Mollie Oakleaf, Missouri j-student.

If you’re not producing some sort of online video advertisement for your program or media outlet, I’d suggest you take a cue from Missou and get one put together. Put it in a prominent position on your home page. As students explore opportunities, these kinds of multimedia materials are going to be an important aid in recruitment.

And if you have produced something like this for your media, send us a link, or drop it in the comments, and share your experience.
