		<description>I just stumbled upon this post from a link in your recent Media Shift post. I had no idea that my Mustang Daily predecessors took on this feat and I&#039;m sad that it died away. 
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;I spoke with Ryan Chartrand via IM a few minutes ago to find out what happened, and he said: &quot;You have to understand one thing: There were barely any colleges with news sites at that time. You don&#039;t even know how much they fought [the general manager] to even hire me the year before. No one cared about web, and this was only a few years ago. Every CSU we called could care less about the web.&quot;
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;Ryan and Dan were way ahead of their time. If they were to start the same project again today, it&#039;d be valued and successful. 
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;It would be interesting to get the CSU campuses to collaborate and build another similar network using Publish2. If I wasn&#039;t graduating in 23 days, it&#039;s a project I&#039;d start...  Any takers?</description>
