Reinventing mp3s on archive.org

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

The genesis of the Center for Innovation in College Media happened in Kansas City, MO during the 2005 Fall National College Media Convention (moved from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina).

Chris Carroll (Vanderbilt Student Media) and Ralph Braseth (Ole Miss Student Media) organized a last-minute session on the last day of the conference to discuss new media’s impact on college media. The session was called “Reinventing College Media.”

I just finished uploading the mp3s from that original session to Archive.org for free hosting. Hard to believe that was almost 18 months ago.

Listen to them here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.

The links have also been updated on the original Reinventing College Media weblog.

Consulting Service

Sometimes, it helps to have an outsider come in to speak to a staff, or arrange some training, or discuss management issues relating to the shift to new media.

For that reason, we’ve set up a “Speaker’s Bureau” of folks who are willing to travel and help you where needed. Each of these individuals has different strengths they can bring to a workshop session or boot-camp for your students and fellow advisers.
